Hi everyone!
I recently was connected with a great blog post by I want to Teach Forever titled:  We're One Step Closer to a TV Show That Changes How We Think About Math

I feel this is revolutionary and the type of thinking that got us all into teaching in the first place.  This post got me excited to donate and to spread the news.  This is what they say about themselves:

The Math52 video series will offer a fresh vision of what it means to teach math. Each week for a year we’ll create a new video exploring a unique application of math in everyday life:
  • How far would you have to run to burn off a Big Mac?
  • Do people with small feet pay too much for shoes?
  • Is it ever a good idea to buy AppleCare...
  • ...and what can this tell us about health insurance?
Math52 will help teachers see the kinds of engaging mathematical conversations they can have with their students. Of course, it's the teachers (not the video) who will teach the lesson, but they'll know about it because of the Math52 video. Meanwhile, Mathalicious will provide them the materials -- student handout, lesson guide & multimedia presentation -- to help them do it.
Teachers are going to love Math52. And how do we know? Because it's teachers themselves who are the most enthusiastic supporters!

Happy Teaching!
